Designer and Fabricator 2012 Conceived and built for the exhibit: "REmade in Chinatown" Dec 1-31, 2012 at the WUHO Gallery in Hollywood, California. This piece really started in 2009 when I toured a company that builds elevators. I saw some old elevator cabs that had been dismantled and lying around the shop. I thought the old, worn control panels with all the buttons and engraving would make a great architectural element. On Oct 19, 2012, I returned to the elevator shop in order to see what I could salvage for a furniture piece. I found a pair of very stout, tall panels with all the switchgear intact. They were eight feet tall, seventeen inches wide and a quarter-inch thick lamination of stainless steel.
