I lead project teams of Builders, Engineers and Architects as a Project Director for Owners and Real Estate Developers. I have over twenty-six years combined experience in Architecture and Construction, I am a Licensed Architect in the State of California and a LEED Accredited Professional.
I have lived in and explored Los Angeles since 1995. Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, I moved to California to pursue an opportunity to volunteer at the historic Gamble House in Pasadena, California. My explorations led me to the Art Center College of Design where I earned my Bachelor of Science with Honors in Environmental Design. While at Art Center, I studied Architecture, Product Design, Photography, Fine Art Printmaking and Graphic Design.
As a child, I always enjoyed crafts and making things. I was influenced by both of my grandfathers: one whose hand tools I inherited and the other who had a ready-mix concrete company, sand and gravel quarry and construction company. I grew up watching the original "This Old House" and was eager to start using my 'new' tools. I refinished a few pieces of furniture and taught myself how to make wood furniture using only traditional woodworking hand tools. I later learned how to work with metal and plastics. My curiosity and training have led me to create and modify things beyond the architectural realm.
When I am not working, I enjoy travel, photography, digital printmaking, car shows, museums and being outdoors. I enjoy reading books and magazines on business and science and technology. I am a member of the Friends of the Gamble House and have volunteered for the MAK Center Los Angeles and Habitat for Humanity.
